ANNUAL PARISH MEETING

Minutes of the Annual Parish Meeting held on Wednesday 9th May 2018 in Stoke Lacy Village Hall at 7.30.pm

1/18 WELCOME and APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
The outgoing Chairman opened the meeting by welcoming everyone.
Apologies were received from Ward Councillor Jonathan Lester and CSO Susan Berrett.

2/18 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
There was no public participation

3/18 MINUTES OF THE LAST ANNUAL PARISH MEETING HELD ON 17TH MAY 2017
The minutes of the last annual parish meeting were approved and signed.

4/18 FINANCIAL REPORT for 2017/18
The Clerk/RFO reported on the financial activities of the Parish Council over the past twelve months. Grants had been made to the Cider Press, Stoke Lacy Village Hall, and St Peter’s & St Paul’s PCC for churchyard maintenance. The Lengthsman had undertaken various works throughout 2017/18. The Parish Council could reclaim one third of the costs from Herefordshire Council under the Lengthsman Scheme and VAT would be reclaimed. Unfortunately the scheme was being terminated in 2018/19. SIDs had been deployed twice in the village. The Council’s financial position was healthy at the end of 2017/18 and no undue expenditure was envisaged for the forthcoming twelve months.

5/18 OUTGOING CHAIRMAN’S REPORT FOR 2017/2018
Issues dealt with over the year included:
a 6 meetings of the Parish Council had been held and one extra-ordinary meeting. Typical agenda items included finance, planning, road maintenance, speeding and village enhancements. Public participation was always welcome, but usually no public was in attendance.
b.9 planning applications considered.

6/18 General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018
The Clerk reported that this Parish Council was working towards full compliance with GDPR

The outgoing Chairman had tendered his resignation from the Parish Council after serving 5 years, 3 as Chairman. The meeting thanked for his work as Parish Councillor and wished him well for the future.

7/18 DATE OF NEXT ANNUAL PARISH MEETING
Wednesday 8th May 2019 at 7.30pm in Stoke Lacy Village Hall.

The meeting closed at 8pm.
